When the sun was shining, I was sitting on the edge of my house in my favorite chair in the shade. A friend walked by and asked what I was doing there, if I wanted a drink, and how I was doing. I told her I was sitting in the shade all day and I wasn’t thirsty.
The thing is, I’m not really sure where I was when I answered her. I was in my house, or at least I was in my home. When I answered her she had to have been in her house when I said that. But I’m not entirely sure. If I had been at a restaurant or something I wouldn’t have had to answer her question. I’d have probably been in my house. But I’m not sure I was.
It’s not easy for most people to tell you where you were when you answered her. I’m not sure how many people actually go through the motions of answering a person when they ask for a drink. Many people are afraid that if they tell you where you are you will become suspicious or paranoid. I think most people tend to want to get the person talking to them.
I think there is a difference between knowing where you were and being a witness to that fact. Most people don’t tend to do the latter. Most people would like to get to talk to you. And thats why they ask you where you were, because they don’t want to feel like they were in the wrong.
Many of us have experienced this at one time or another. Some of us will tell you exactly where we were. But we dont tell you where we know we were. We dont tell you where we were because if we did we would be guilty of a very serious crime. For example, if I tell you I was at a party at my friend’s house, and you say, “I was at your house last night.” I would be guilty of a crime.
Moving sand is when you get in a place and you go, “Hey, I was at that place last night, but I moved sand.” I know I moved sand. I moved sand. I just moved it. I moved it from one place to another. I moved it from the sandbar to the sandbar. I moved it from the water to the water. I moved it from the river to the river.
Moving sand is an act of self-aware. It means that you know you have a decision to make. You decide that you are going to move sand, or you decide you are going to stay in your current state. If you decide to move sand, you are aware of your decision. You realize that you are not going to stay in your current state. You are going to move sand. You make the decision to move sand and realize it. No one can blame you for this.
Moving sand is the ultimate act of self-awareness. Just like when you are a kid and you have a choice in whether to run or hit the ball, you can move sand. You know that you are going to move sand. You know you are going to move sand. You are aware of your actions and do the very best you can.
As an adult, when I moved sand from one riverbank to another, I was aware of the location of the sand. I knew the riverbank that I was moving sand from because I was aware of the riverbank that I was moving sand from, and so on. Moving sand is the ultimate act of self-awareness. Just like when you are a kid and you have a choice in whether to run or hit the ball, you can move sand.
